make a living, have a life
With the demands of continuous communication and the freedom of increasingly flexible working, it's more important than ever to focus on what a work-life blend means for you. The time and energy resources we have are finite and therefore we need to consciously plan our time to remain in control.
what's this course about?
This course explores what work-life blend means for each individual and how this changes for different situations. We spend some time thinking about what the demands are on our time and if we could manage them better - or even if they can fit into the time and energy we have available! By analysing the various activities we do on a daily basis we can start to change how we do things. We will design our 'ideal day' and from that an ideal week, month, year and beyond for a balanced life. Explore how to be more in control over the choices you make and consider the consequences of these choices. Take away practical tools and techniques to battle procrastination and be authentically assertive. 'Never get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life.'
