Every day at caba, our work makes a real difference. As part of the team, you’ll be helping past and present ICAEW members and their families through tough times – whether that’s financial, mental, or physical challenges.
We’ve been doing this for over 140 years and our desire to help people hasn’t changed. And thanks to people like you who bring new ideas, perspectives and backgrounds, we’ve never felt stuck in the past.

We’re a small organisation, and that means that everyone has a chance to shape what we do. Our senior leadership team ensure that happens by taking care of the bigger stuff, making space for creativity, new ideas and better ways of working.
What caba does – and your part in it – makes a real difference to people’s lives every day. Take a look at just some of the stories from people we’ve helped and see what your day-to-day could mean for someone else's.
We do good work – and we hire good people. Here’s what to expect when you hit ‘apply’.
When you apply, we’ll ask for an up-to-date CV and a cover letter that lets us know why you'd be a good fit - both for the role, and for caba.
There’s no need for a beautifully designed CV – we’re more interested in your experience, motivation and what makes you, you.
We’re not here to catch you out. We know interviews can be stressful, so we try to make the process as easy as possible by giving questions and related tasks beforehand, so you'e fully prepared.
And please ask us questions too – it’s just as important that we’re right for you.
If we think you’re someone we can count on, we’ll be in touch, typically within one week of the final stage of the interview, to offer you a place on the team.
If you accept, we'll arrange a start date together and keep you updated until your very first day.
We’re a humble organisation that focuses on what people need rather than flashy offices or unnecessary extras. Our benefits are designed to support a healthy work-life balance.
We offer a fair and competitive salary, and we regularly compare our salaries with other charities to make sure our pay is fair.
Your health and wellbeing matter. That’s why we offer private healthcare, giving you peace of mind when it counts.
We value connection, but also flexibility. With two days in the office and two at home, you get both teamwork, and freedom and focus.
As part of a trial, we currently work Monday to Thursday. Fridays are yours – for family time, hobbies, rest, or even just catching up on your favourite shows.
We’ll match your pension contributions up to 10% - so the more you put aside for your future, the more we do.
Our shared core values guide our every move at caba. You don’t need to remember them, but if you're already living them then you’ll fit in well here.
We believe in learning and growth – which might mean shaping your current role or stepping into something new.
We listen to ideas and act on them. From our four-day work week to new services, some of our best ideas come from our people.
We look out for one another, offer support when it’s needed and create an environment where everyone feels valued and included.
Our work helps people through some of the toughest moments of their lives – and onto better ones.
We treat everyone with fairness, respect and trust, and always aim to do what’s right – even when it’s not the easiest option.
We put people first, act with compassion and integrity, and make decisions based on what will genuinely help.
We look out for one another and step in when support is needed, creating an environment where everyone feels valued and included.
We share knowledge, learn from each other’s experience, and work together to achieve more than we could alone.
