caba is dedicated to providing high-quality support to past and present ICAEW members, students and their dependents across the UK and internationally.
We offer information, advice, expert support services, and financial assistance in partnership with leading charities. Our safeguarding policy applies to all caba trustees, staff, and volunteers and governs the support provided to service users, whether in-person or online. A caba service user is anyone who has contacted us for support.
Our policy aims to protect adults at risk, those aged 18 and over who may be vulnerable due to disabilities, age, or illness and also recognises our responsibility to safeguard children and other vulnerable family members of service users. caba promotes a safe environment for children, young people, and adults at risk, encouraging prompt reporting of concerns while providing confidential mechanisms for doing so.
We ensure ongoing training for all stakeholders in safeguarding principles.
We comply with legal frameworks and regulations, promoting inclusivity and safeguarding the rights of all individuals.
We actively work with external partners and communities to strengthen our safeguarding measures.

Safeguarding is a shared responsibility among caba staff, trustees, and volunteers. We are committed to enhancing the well-being of all service users and maintaining an organisational risk register to identify potential risks.
Actions taken by caba will be consistent with the principles of children and adults at risk safeguarding ensuring that any action taken is prompt, proportionate and that it includes and respects the voice of the child or adult concerned.
