care with confidence

This session is designed to help you navigate the emotional, logistical, and practical aspects of caregiving. It offers you a toolkit to help you care with confidence, while also looking after your own wellbeing.

We'll explore the key financial and legal considerations, your rights at work, and the range of services and professionals that can support you. We’ll also consider the emotional complexities of caring for elderly relatives and help you create a caregiving environment that is positive for you both.

You’ll leave with practical tips, essential resources and checklists, and most importantly, a sense that you are not doing this alone since you’ll meet others facing similar challenges. Whether you're just beginning to support an aging relative or have been caring for a while, this course is a valuable opportunity to pause, reflect, and get the help you need to move forward with confidence.

what you'll gain

  • understand the caregiving landscape, learn who’s involved and how they can help.
  • have an overview of legal and financial matters, know what to plan for and where to get advice
  • learn coping strategies to help you handle caregiving challenges and prioritise self-care
  • feel less alone, build a stronger support network to reduce feelings of isolation
  • get information about what support is available
