VOLUNTEER AWARDS
On 18th November, 2009, CABA held its first volunteer appreciation awards lunch at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, London. The event was held in recognition of the outstanding contribution made by nominated volunteers who have given their time to support CABA's work, some over a period of 20 to 30 years. Award winners enjoyed a celebration lunch in the magnificent surroundings at Moorgate Place and John Heskett, CABA's president, presented the five winners with a certificate of recognition for their dedication and commitment over the years.
The winners, in no particular order, are listed below:
Jeromé Freedman, FCA
For his service as a Trustee, his long-standing support for CABA
and acting as a Referee for a succession of Beneficiaries.
Ken Jeffries, FCA
For his exceptional and long-lasting support and care for his beneficiaries.
We have learned to our great sadness that Ken Jeffries died on 6 January 2010. He will be missed by CABA staff and the beneficiaries he supported.
