CABA APPOINTS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE
John Heskett, President of Chartered Accountants' Benevolent Association, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kath Haines as CABA's new Chief Executive.
Kath qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981 and since this time has worked in both business and practice and is well aware of the needs and pressures on fellow Chartered Accountants.
Kath joined the charity in 2007 as Finance and Resources Director and was appointed Acting Chief Executive in February 2009. Prior to joining CABA Kath had spent 12 years in retail and service industries, followed by three years at English Churches Housing Association.
John said "We are very pleased to welcome Kath into her new role as Chief Executive. We had a very strong shortlist of candidates and believe Kath is the right person to take the charity forward. She rose to the challenge of Acting Chief Executive, demonstrating an exceptional management ability, drive and commitment."
Kath said "I am delighted to have been offered the position of Chief Executive and look forward to leading the organisation through these difficult and challenging times. Like many charities, we are experiencing an increase in the number of enquiries received due to the current economic climate. I am in the fortunate position of having the support of a hard working and highly skilled team of staff, a dedicated board of trustees and many enthusiastic volunteers. I aim to build on the excellent work done to date."
