Past and present ICAEW members, ACA students and their families can access our range of health and carer support services.

Caring for a loved one is hugely rewarding. But, it can also be isolating and exhausting -putting a strain on your relationships, your income and your own physical and emotional wellbeing. Even more so perhaps if you live far away from family members. Let us make things a little easier.

Adaptations and equipment

Our grants and donations can help pay for home adaptations, respite care and specialist equipment such as mobility aids, for you or someone you care for in Czech Republic or in the UK.

For loved ones in the UK we can also arrange for an Occupational Therapist to carry out an assessment of needs and provide information about available options. Our support officers can then help you understand their assessment and recommendations.

Liaising with health and social care services in the UK

Navigating the health and social care or benefits system in the UK is no easy task. If you’re seeking advice and information on behalf of a loved one in the UK let us help. Our dedicated support officers can help you deal effectively with the relevant services to make sure you have all the information you need.

Residential care top-up fees

We're able to offer help with the 'top-up' costs of residential care, in some circumstances. To find out if you or someone you care for in the UK is eligible for this support, get in touch. Our support officers are on hand to advise and help you and your loved ones find the care that’s right for you.

End of life and bereavement support

Dealing with end of life can be a challenging time but you do not have to manage this alone. We are here to help. We can support you with information about care and links to services as well as practical considerations, such as funeral grants, bereavement support, and someone to turn to.

A listening ear

When life gets tough we’re here to listen. We’ll help you talk things through and find the best way forward. You can talk to our trained counsellors on the phone or online 24 hours a day or we can provide face-to-face counselling.

Remember, all our services are free, impartial and strictly confidential.

And we're not just here for past and present ICAEW members. Husbands, wives, life partners, dependent children and young adults up to 25 can also access our support.
