Overview

Resilience is the ability to tackle problems and cope with adversity. Resilient people tend to maintain a positive outlook, learn from their experiences and cope more effectively with challenges. Learn how to build better resilience for yourself and in your team to boost their wellbeing and help improve performance.

What's this course about?

As well as sustaining your own resilience, building and maintaining a resilient team is critical for your organisation to perform at its peak, operate efficiently and meet the challenges of the changing environment. It's essential for you and your team to understand what stress is, and be able to recognise the signs and symptoms in yourself and in others.

You'll understand why it's so important to tackle stress and equip you with the skills and confidence to undertake proactive and effective stress management with your team. Learn effective leadership styles, and discuss practical tools and techniques to help you manage your own stress and also help you develop, build and maintain a resilient team within a resilience management framework.

What will you get out of it?

The knowledge and skills to support individuals and your whole team. You'll be able to recognise when others are stressed and why, and have strategies that will help you and them develop their resilience, improve their wellbeing and their performance.

After completing this course you will be able to

  • Understand your wellbeing responsibility when managing others
  • Identify the early signs of stress in yourself and others
  • Take a proactive approach to creating an environment of openness and support
  • Develop an effective leadership style which enables you to work with your team to manage stress and increase resilience
