Financial Help
CABA can provide assistance to those experiencing financial hardship due to; accidents, disability, bereavement, ill health, family issues (including separation), difficulties in retirement, unemployment etc.
We can also offer support with information on accessing state benefits, statutory and voluntary services, and Residential and Nursing Care.
We always have time to provide a sympathetic and understanding listening ear, which for those in distress can be as important as more tangible support.
How we may help financially
CABA prides itself on its versatility in meeting the wide-ranging problems of those experiencing difficulties. Depending on individual need, help may take the form of grants, loans and donations. Where the Beneficiary is in receipt of state benefits, there are various forms of financial assistance that can be given without reduction of the State support.
It is a requirement of the Charity Commission and the Board of Trustees, that the Association’s funds are not used where Public/State funding is available in the country of residence. CABA requires all applicants to ensure they maximize their income and they will be expected to apply for State Benefits, Trust funding, Pensions, charitable donations etc, for which they may be eligible. CABA can guide you through this process, if applicable.
CABA will not normally assist with the repayment of personal or business debts.
CABA’s capital limits are in line with those used by the Department for Work and Pensions. However, please do not let this deter you from contacting us.
