Stress
Stress is one of the biggest causes of ill-health today and the Accountancy professional is not alone in suffering from increasing levels of stress related problems. Excessive pressure or stress has been linked to physical problems such as Coronary Heart Disease, Stroke or Diabetes, as well as mental health problems such as anxiety and depression. Stress can cause or exacerbate social problems such as the breakdown of family relationships, misuse of drugs and alcohol, and lead to poor performance at work and home.
