Volunteers are an important part of the CABA team.
We have six specially trained Debt Volunteers, and a growing team of CABA Support Volunteers.
CABA Support Volunteers are individuals who can contribute a little time to helping others, when the need arises. This could mean helping in a variety of ways – for example helping to assess the client’s needs, a friendly chat while having a cup of tea, or supporting clients with administrative tasks.CABA Support Volunteers are individuals who can contribute a little time to helping others, when the need arises
Our aim is that all those who come to us for help will feel supported, listened to, and particularly for those in later life, will be able to maintain their independence to the greatest possible extent.
All our volunteers are trained for their role, and have a role description with a confidentiality agreement.
Once your training is completed, it may be some time before we need to call upon you to help someone who lives in your area. However, having a network of volunteers on hand when needed is vitally important to us.
If you are interested in volunteering please email Karen Handcock on karen.handcock@caba.org.uk.
