Who we help

CABA is the first point of contact for Chartered Accountants and their families in times of need. We provide practical, emotional and financial support through challenging life periods

CABA can help you if you are:

• A current or former member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW)

• The wife, husband, life partner, widow/er or dependant ex-spouse of a current, former or deceased ICAEW member

• A child, aged under 18, of a current, former or deceased ICAEW member

• Any of the above who reside outside the UK are eligible for assistance

• ICAEW students, actively studying for their ACA qualification and who are in a training agreement

• ICAEW and CABA employees*

Every application for assistance is looked at on its individual merits.

Although CABA works closely with ICAEW, we are an independent charity.

*Please note financial assistance is available to ICAEW staff who have worked for the organisation for 5 years or more

"I would urge anybody who is struggling to seek help as early as possible. If I’d contacted CABA sooner, I would have saved myself a lot of heartache – I cannot begin to describe what a difference that call has made to my life.” Martin
